24 devotees died in two-phase Ijtema

A total of 24 devotees died in two rounds of the Biswa Ijtema on the Turag shore of Tongi in Gazipur. Of these, 14 died in the first phase.
Gazipur Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner. Manjur Rahman said one and two died on Saturday morning and night. A total of 10 devotees died in the second phase.
The deceased in the second phase were Fazlul Haque of Chuadanga, Shah Alam of Gaibandha, Abdus Chobahan of the same district, Gulzar Hossain, Monir Uddin of Noakhali, Humayun Kabir of Rangpur, AFM Zohurul Alam of Mohur Alam, Jhenaidah, Elias Mia of Dhaka, Qazi Alauddin of Sunamganj, Abdur Rahman alias Suruj Mia of Narshingdi.
The deceased in the first phase were Abdul Mamin of Jaipurhat, Noor Islam of Kishoreganj, Oli Ahmed of Cox's Bazar, Abdul Qayyum of Sherpur, Tamizuddin of Cumilla, Shahjahan of Brahmanbaria, Yousuf of Narayanganj. Ali Azar Boyati, Yakub Ali of Chattogram, Mohammad Ali of the same district, Shahidul Islam of Naogaon, Mazharul Islam of Netrokona, Abdur Razzak of Rajshahi and Khoka Mia of Sirajganj.
