23 more killed in lightning strikes in Bihar

At least 23 people have been killed in lightning strikes in Bihar, India on Saturday.
Earlier, eight people were killed in lightning strikes in five districts of Bihar on Friday. 26 people died on Thursday. Earlier, more than 100 people killed in lightning strikes in two more days. The death toll from lightning strikes in the state has crossed 160 in the last 10 days.
According to NDTV Online, the lightning struck Saran, Kaimur, Patna and Buxar, and Bhojpur. 9 of them died in Bhojpur.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh to the families of each victim.
Multiple areas of the capital have been inundated due to continuous heavy rains. The Central Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains in several cities of Bihar, including the capital Patna, till Sunday.
