2 tourists died after slipping from waterfall in Khagrachari
Two tourists have died after slipping from the ditch above the Richhang Waterfall on Thursday noon in Khagrachari.
The deceased were identified as Pritam Nath, son of Dulal Nath, of Rukhoi Chowdhury Para in Khagrachari district and Apu Chandra Das of Lakshmipur.
Matiranga Police Station OC Mohammad Ali said two friends came to visit the waterfall by motorcycle at noon. They climbed the top of the waterfall, but both of them slipped and fell down. Neither of them could survive as they did not know how to swim. Their bodies have been recovered.
