2 microbus passengers killed in Tangail road crash

Two passengers of a microbus were killed when an unidentified vehicle hit their vehicle at Kalihati Upazila in Tangail. Three more people were injured in the accident. 

The accident took place near Elenga Jaldo Bridge on the Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge Highway on Monday morning. 

The deceased were identified as Sanwar Hossain, a resident of Gopalganj and Sabuj Miah, an official of a tobacco company. 

Elenga outpost of Tangail Gorai Highway Police Station OC Md Kamal Hossain said that four covered vans and a microbus of the tobacco company were going to Rangpur from Dhaka. An unidentified vehicle hit the microbus near Jaldo Bridge. Two people in the microbus were killed and three others were injured. 

The microbus and the bodies have been recovered. The injured have been admitted to Tangail General Hospital.
