2 girls commit suicide after failing in SSC exam

Another candidate committed suicide after failing in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination on Tuesday in Bhanga, Faridpur. Earlier, a girl named Mitu Akhter committed suicide on Monday night for the same reason in the upazila. 

Mitu is the daughter of Yusuf Matubbar of Paschim Sadardi village in Chumurdi UP of Bhanga upazila and was an examinee of West Sadardi High School.

According to Mitu's family and school sources, Mitu Akhter was an irregular candidate this year as she had failed earlier. She committed suicide because she failed again.  

Meanwhile, Samanta Akhter, an examinee from Kafuria Sadardi area of ​​Bhanga Municipality, committed suicide by hanging herself at around 2pm on Tuesday. Samantha also failed in the SSC examination twice. 

Samanta Akter is the daughter of drug dealer Shaon Sikder, a resident of Kafuria Sadardi Mahalla in Bhanga Municipality. 

Bhanga Police Station SI Manik Mia said both bodies were handed over to the family without an autopsy on the request of the family members.
