2 gang rape accused killed in gunfight

Two prime accused over the gang-rape of a sixth-grader female student case were killed in a gunfight with police in Bhola. The gunfight with police took place on Tuesday midnight.  

The deceased were identified as Al Amin, son of Syed Ahmed of Ward No 3 of Char Samaiya UP of Bhaola  Sadar upazila and Manzur Alam, son of Kamal Mistiry.

Confirming the incident, ASI Shikhar of Bhola Model Police Station said, “On information, police conducted a drive to arrest the accused over the sixth-grader female school rape case on Tuesday at around 2:30 am at South Rajapur area of ​​ward no 4 in Rajapur UP. During this, they started firing, police also fired back in self-defense. In this, the prime accused of the gang-rape case were killed.”

“Two persons killed in the gun battle were accused of schoolgirl gang rape case in Char Samaiya area. Their bodies are in the Bhola Sadar Hospital,” he added. 

Al Amin and Manzur are accused of gang-raping a sixth-grader female student in Char Sifali village of the Sadar upazila on Sunday night.

The girl was initially taken to Bhola Sadar Hospital in critical condition. She is undergoing treatment at Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
