2 female RMG workers’ bodies recovered in Ashulia

Police recovered the bodies of two garment workers from separate places in Savar’s Ashulia. 

On Friday night, the two bodies were recovered from Jirani Konapara Chiringa Pukurpar area of Shimulia UP  and Yusuf Market of Yearpur UP of Ashulia. 

Among the bodies- one is identified as  Ruby Akhter, daughter of Sona Mia of Chandiswar village in Dhamrai Upazila. She used to live with husband-child in a rented house at Konapara Chiringa Pukurpar area and worked in DEPZ old zone’s Leni Fashion. 

And the other’s name is Jannati, a resident of Badarganj Thana of Rangpur district.  

“The body of Ruby was handed over to the family as there was no allegation from the relatives. Besides, Jannati’s body was recovered and brought to the police station. Process of sending the body to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital for autopsy underway,” ‍said Jabed Masud, officer-in-charge (OC) of Ashulia Police Station.
