2 additional attorney generals resign

Two additional attorney generals Murad Reza and Md. Momtaz Uddin Fakir have resigned from their post. Both have submitted their resignation letters to the solicitor office.

Murad Reza announced his resignation from the post of Additional Attorney General on Sunday morning. He said he had sent his resignation letter to the president M Abdul Hamid through the ministry of law. 

Additional Attorney General Mamtaz Uddin Fakir also confirmed his resignation this morning. He also submitted his resignation letter to the president.

On October 6, Abu Muhammad (AM) Amin Uddin, president of the Supreme Court Bar Association, was appointed as the 16th Attorney General of the country.

Earlier on September 27, the 15th Attorney General Mahbubey Alam, who was undergoing treatment in the ICU of the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka, died of coronavirus.
