Two sub-inspectors have been withdrawn from Sunamganj's Doarabazar police station. They were withdrawn for not listed seizure liquor and selling those. At the same time, a departmental investigation is under proceedings against them.

On Friday (March 5) they were withdrawn and transferred to the police line. The withdrawn officers are SI Nobel Sarkar and Apurba Kumar Saha.

According to a police source, SI Nobel Sarkar and Apurba Kumar Saha conducted an anti-drug operation in Banglabazar of Dowarbazar police station on February 28. During the drive, they arrested Monir Hossain and Alamin Mia with four cartons of Indian liquor.

Later, SI Nobel Sarkar filed a case under the Narcotics Control Act against the two after showing 1 carton of wine seized and sold the rest three cartons of liquor to a young man in Banglabazar named Taniel.

On Tuesday (March 2), DB Police SI Shamim Akhanji recovered three cartons of liquor from Taniel's brother Tanvir's shop. Then Tanvir said that these wines have left SI Nobel and Apurba. Senior officials of the district police came to know about the matter and sent Additional Superintendent of Police Saheb Ali for on-the-spot investigation. He investigated and found the truth.

Sunamganj police superintendent Mizanur Rahman ordered the withdrawal of two police officers on Thursday afternoon.
