A drug dealer named Ayub Ali was killed in a gunfight over the internal conflict and influence between two rival groups of drug dealers in Bochaganj in Dinajpur.

The gun battle took place on Monday night in the Shalbagan area on the side of Hatrampur Bazar.

The deceased Ayub Ali, son of Abdur Rahman of the railway colony area of ​​the upazila was accused in 19 drug cases. Arrest warrants were issued against him in several cases.

Police recovered a one-shooter, 2 rounds of bullets, 2 cocktails, two hasua, and 200 yaba from the scene.

Dinajpur DB Police OC ATM Golam Rasul said that a group of DB police went on a special operation in Hatrampur Shalbagan area of ​​Bochaganj upazila. At this time, they came to the scene with the help of local police after hearing the sound of bullets inside the Shalbagan.

Sensing police presence, the drug dealers fled away. Police found Ayub Ali severely injured on the scene. Then he was rushed to Dinajpur M. Abdur Rahim Hospital by a police pickup and the doctor declared him dead. The search revealed that the deceased was an identified terrorist-drug dealer in the area.
