18 die at Corona unit in Rajshahi Medical in 24hrs

18 more people died in the last 24 hours at Corona isolation unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) while undergoing treatment from Saturday 9 am to Sunday 9 am, of these, 6 died of Covid-19 and 12 died with symptoms.
Confirming the matter on Sunday, RMCH director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani said 6 from Rajshahi, 4 from Natore, 3 from Pabna, one each from Chapainawabganj and Kushtia succumbed to the Covid-19, symptoms during the period. “Among these, 11 are male and 7 are female,” he also said.
A total of 486 patients were admitted to the 513-bed RMCH Corona Isolation Unit till 9 am on Sunday. So far, 195 of them have been admitted with Covid-19 and 160 were admitted with symptoms. 53 people were admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours. During this, 46 people left the hospital after recovery.
Earlier on Saturday, 188 samples were tested at RMCH hospital lab, 64 of them were detected with the Covid-19, on the other hand, 335 sample tests were conducted at the medical college lab where 127 people were detected with the virus.
According to the test, the Covid-19 detection rate in Rajshahi is 32.71 percent and 53.68 percent in Chapainawabganj.
