At least 17 people have been killed and 24 were injured after a tour bus fell from a bridge onto railway tracks in Brazil.

The accident took place on Friday in the southeastern state of Minas Gerais, which is popular with tourists.

Daily Mail reported that after colliding with a truck, the bus plunged from the highway onto railway tracks. 12 of the passengers died on the spot while five others succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.
