17 killed after tour bus plunges from bridge onto train tracks in Brazil

At least 17 people have been killed and 24 were injured after a tour bus fell from a bridge onto railway tracks in Brazil.
The accident took place on Friday in the southeastern state of Minas Gerais, which is popular with tourists.
Daily Mail reported that after colliding with a truck, the bus plunged from the highway onto railway tracks. 12 of the passengers died on the spot while five others succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.
Pictures posted on social media showed that the bus lying on the train tracks. The tracks were partially closed while emergency workers carried out their work.
Brazil's tourism industry has suffered heavily this year as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
The incident happened just a week after 42 people lost their lives in a collision between a bus and a truck in Taguaí, São Paulo. Of these, 40 people dead at the scene and two others at a local hospital.
