BTRC says the number of mobile connections in the country is 16,71,09,000 till September
The number of mobile connections in the country has been increasing amid the COVID period. The number of mobile connections in the country is 16,71,09,000 till September, according to the reports published by BTRC on Monday.
In August, the number was 16,60,28,000 and 16,42,82,000 was in July.
Earlier in June, the connection was 16,12,95,000, however, the number of connections was higher in May than in June. In May, there were 16,15,06,000 connections.
Mobile phone operators have been moving forward after overcoming the COVID-hit since July. As of last September, Grameenphone has 7,75,92,000, Robi has 5,01,26,000, Banglalink has 3,47,78,000 and Teletalk has 46,012 connections.
It is to be mentioned that if a customer buys a mobile SIM using biometric technology (fingerprint) and does voice, data (internet usage) and SMS once in 90 days, then the mobile operators count him as a user.
