14 tigers killed in 2yrs

The latest tiger census was conducted through camera trapping method in 2018 in the Sundarbans of Bangladesh. 114 tigers were found in that census, however, 14 tigers have been killed in lynching, said Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin, in response to a query from Nurunnabi Chowdhury (Bhola-3) in the Jatiya Sangsad on Wednesday.
The minister said a survey conducted using the camera trapping method for the first time in 2015 found 106 tigers.
“A total of 38 tigers have been killed in the Sundarbans in the last two decades due to various reasons (one died by natural disasters, 10 killed by miscreants, 14 by lynching and 13 died by natural causes),” he added.
