1.14 lakhs get vaccinated Tuesday

One lakh 14 thousand 60 people have been vaccinated against Covid across the country on Tuesday, which is lowest among last couple of weeks.
According to the information sent from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) this evening, 33 lakh 41 thousand 505 people have been vaccinated in the country so far. Of them, 11 lakh 91 thousand 150 are women.
So far, mild side effects have been reported in 773 people after the vaccination.
DGHS said, 45 lakh 30 thousand 820 people registered for vaccination till 5:30 pm today.
Initially, the number of registrations and daily vaccinations for coronavirus vaccine was low. In the second week, the number of daily vaccinators exceeded 230,000. At that time the daily registration was around two and a half lakh. But especially, for the last seven days, the number of willing people gradually decreasing.
Health officials said there are still some negative perceptions among people about the coronavirus vaccine. Many of those who were interested in vaccination have already registered and been vaccinated. Marginalized people are less likely to register for the vaccine.
Mass vaccination campaign started on February 7 across the country. From that day till 14 February, an average of one lakh 29 thousand 352 people were vaccinated against Covid daily. At that time, 1 lakh 86 thousand 26 people registered daily on average to get vaccinated. In the second week, the number of daily vaccinations and registrations began to increase. But after February 23 that started to fall.
