11,336 MT of rice distributed so far for flood-affected people

16,510 metric tonnes of rice have been allocated so far for humanitarian assistance for flood-affected people in 33 districts. 11,336 metric tonnes of rice have been distributed.
According to the information received from the flood-hit district administrations, Tk 4,18,50,000 has been allocated so far. Of this, Tk 2,74,80,700 has been distributed.
Tk 1.40 crore has been allocated as baby food aid and so far Tk 89.63 has been distributed. Tk 2.88 crore has been allocated for the purchase of cow food and the distribution amount is Tk 1,76,39,000. Besides, 1.62 lakh packets of dried and other food have been allotted – of these, 1,31,736 packets have been distributed so far.
The flood-affected districts are Dhaka, Gazipur, Tangail, Manikganj, Faridpur, Munshiganj, Rajbari, Madaripur, Shariatpur, Gopalganj, Kishoreganj, Mymensingh, Netrokona, Jamalpur, Chandpur, Noakhali, Lakshmipur, Brahmanbaria, Rajshahi, Naogaon, Natore, Sirajganj, Bogura, Pabna, Rangpur, Kurigram, Nilphamari, Gaibandha, Lalmonirhat, Sylhet, Moulvibazar, Habiganj and Sunamganj.
