The Dhaka court on Monday granted a 15-day remand to Shamima Nur Papiya and her husband Mofizur Rahman of Narsingdi in three separate cases of fake money, arms and drugs behind car business with Airport and Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station. They have been accused of sex trade, extortion, drugs and extortion by showing various temptations to helpless women. 

Recently, Papiya’s 1.10 minutes video was leaked which immediately went viral on social media. 

In the video, it was seen that Papiya was sitting on the bed and talking with someone. At the same time, she cutting her left hand with a blade by right hand. At that time, blood was seen coming out of her hands. 

More shows in the video, she called Tayeba, her associate, and asked her to bandage on the cutting parts. Tayeba was also arrested.

According to investigation sources, Papiya used to call many young women of Dhaka and Narsingdi at the luxurious hotel in the name of giving jobs. She later used them as party girls and even forced them to do bedfellow for many with the temptation of money. The women were even forced to provide escort services at the luxurious hotel. 

Later when they wanted to get rid of Papiya, she threatened them with videos. If they do not listen to her, she threatened to spread those videos. That’s how, Papiya took them in hostage, according to investigation sources.

It is alleged that if a girl objected, Papiya beat them with a stick by blackmailing with a video clip. Investigators found a video where she was enjoying the party sitting on the sofa with a stick. 

The members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered a large amount of illegal money, including weapons, ammunition, and alcohol, during a raid at Shamima Nur Papiya’s residence on Sunday in the capital’s Farmgate area.

Papiya’s husband Mofizur Rahman Chowdhury Sumon, 38, and his associate Sabikkhor Khandokar, 29, were arrested at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 11:30 am on Saturday when they were trying to flee to Delhi. Following their information, Papiya and her personal assistant Sheikh Tayeba, 22, were arrested from the hotel Westin.
