11 killed after tempo collides with truck in India

11 people, including the driver, killed when their tempo-traveler collided with a truck near Karnataka’s Dharwad city, about 430 km north-west of its capital Bengaluru in India. seven others were critically injured in the incident.
The accident took place on Friday morning at a crossing about 8 kilometers from Dharwad city, according to the police.
The injured have been shifted to the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences for treatment, the police said.
“The condition of five is said to be critical,” the police said, adding that the majority of those who have died are “women”, police said.
It is learned that the travelers, most of them are women, were going to Goa from Karnataka’s Davangere for a family function.
