11 SBAC Bank officials suspended

South Bangla Agriculture and Commerce Bank (SBAC) has suspended 11 officials, including two deputy managing directors (DMDs)and four Branch Managers.
The two DMDs are Md Kamal Uddin and Shafiuddin Ahmed, said Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, managing director of SBAC.
The suspended officials are - Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of the bank Md Kamal Uddin, Safiuddin Ahmed, Head of Credit Administration (EVP) Salauddin Ahmed, Head of Banking Operations (EVP) SM Iqbal Mehdi, Head of International Department (VP) ANM Moaz Ahmed.
Besides, Khulna Branch Head (FAV) NM Abul Kalam Siddique, Khulna Choknagar Branch Head (AVP) Md Manjurul Alam, Fakir Hat, Kharabat Baintala Branch Head (SEO) SM Rabiul Alam, Faltita Branch Head (SEO) Md Nazrul Islam, Khulna Foreign Exchange Branch SK Abul Farah and Katakhali branch manager Arup Kumar Shah have been suspended.
Confirming the information managing director of SBAC Mosleh Uddin on Thursday said the bank made the decision on October 4 in accordance with Bangladesh Bank directives.
According to him, the central bank recently sent three separate letters to SBAC, requesting that it take disciplinary action against them after a Bangladesh Bank investigation found allegations against them.
