The personal data of over 100 million people in the United States has been seized. At the same time, the personal information of about six million people in neighboring Canada has been seized. The data was stolen by hacking from the financial services firm Capital One. Recently, the company has revealed such exciting information.

Capital One reported the matter formally after the arrest of a man involved in the hacking in a statement on Monday.

It was possible to identify the hacking incident on June 19. According to a BBC report, a number of personal information, including the names, addresses, phone numbers of people who applied for a credit card to Capital One have been stolen. However, it was also informed that the hacker could not access the credit card account number of the people.

Capital One is one of the credit card service companies in the United States. They provide credit card issuance as well as regular banking services.
