10 injured as bus falls into ditch in N`ganj

Ten people were injured as a bus of Naf Paribahan with 32 passengers fell into a roadside ditch after being hit by a covered van at Keodhala bust stand on Dhaka-Chattogram highway of Narayanganj around noon on Monday.

Kanchpur Highway Police seized the bus of Naf Paribahan and covered van on the charge of reckless driving on the highway.

Kanchpur Highway Police OC Moniruzzaman said a bus of Naf Paribahan was taking a U-turn at this time a Coveredvan hit it. As a result, the bus fell into the roadside ditch with 32 passengers. Ten people were injured in this incident. The injured were taken to local hospitals and clinics for treatment. However, the identities of the injured could not be known immediately.

The OC added although the cover was seized its driver and helper escaped.
