Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq said that it is not impossible to bring back Bangabandhu killers and the government is working on it.

He said, “It is not impossible by hard to bring back the killers of Bangabandhu and we are working on it. After the killing of 1975, the killers were sent abroad under state patronage. Some were established in the country too. After assuming power in 2001, Khaleda Zia government too sponsored the killers. Her principal secretary even went to airport to receive the body of killer Major Dalim’s wife.”

Anisul Huq said these on Tuesday while talking to reporters at his secretariat office as they greeted him on assuming the office for the second time.

He said that the government will try to form a commission to identify perpetrators behind the killing of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The law minister, who is also a reputed lawyer, said his priority in this term would be to ensure justice for the people of country and he would try to resolve problems in this regard.

“The constitution, which was formulated by Bangabandhu, tells us how to ensure justice for the people and we would try to implement those,” he added.

The minister said his ministry will intensify and strengthen many good steps taken during the last tenure of this government, adding, “Both the divisions under my ministry have helped me equally and because of that, I was able to do my work easily. I would like to continue my job following the experience I gathered last time.”

Anisul also expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for giving him the responsibility of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs for the second time.
