Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that the Awami League did not make alliance with the coalitions on the condition of giving the ministry.

On Tuesday morning, the members of the newly constituted cabinet paid homage to Father of the Nation by placing floral wreath on the portrait at his portrait in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at capital's Dhanmondi-32.

Obaidul Quader said, “Sheikh Hasina placed qualified people in the Cabinet. She gave responsibility to the right people in the right place.”

Regarding the alliances, the minister said that there is no tension in the alliance. “The cabinet will be reshuffle, it will be changed. Coalition does not mean that we have given condition - we have to make a minister.”

He said, “14-parties are our alliances. We cannot say that those who were in the past, will not be in the future.”

“It is not right to say that changes have taken place, the transformation happened or some dropped out. There are different entities in Party and Ministerial. I do not think there is any problem in this case.”

Obaidul Quader also said, “We will decide which ones we focus on, we will make decisions based on public interest, and we will work, that is the promise.”
